Starting in the 1990's he came to realise that people from around 60 start building new lives that are looking forward to the next few decades and discovering what they can do, how they will fill their time, what they can explore and what they need to do to enjoy and build the next stage of life. This was and is news to marketers and business people who too often see people 60 to 100+ as the past instead of focusing on them as the future given that all demographic studies show that this is the fastest growing age groups in nearly every country.

Life expectancy, in countries like Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, is among the longest in the world. Countries like China and Thailand have some of the fastest aging populations and within India, there are already over 100 million people over 60. More and more of this group are staying healthier, living longer, working longer, buying, and spending more.
